Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s. The actress has won numerous honors, including the Golden Globe Award as well as sixteen NAACP Image Award. In the last decade she has been working on film and television. She's received numerous awards including the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett moved with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five to be near their mother and father, who had separated from their dad. Bassett decided to be an actress after seeing the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. When she graduated of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned a Bachelor's Degree of African American Studies, she went on to earn a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies, 1980. Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
